World's Largest Swim Lesson

My kids LOVE the Guiness Book of World Records. We have the current edition, and they are always poring over it, sharing all the random facts with me. So when I saw the opportunity to participate in the World's Largest Swim Lesson, I knew we couldn't pass it up. The kids were SO excited, even though we had to arrive at 7:30 in the morning! That was brutal, but at least it was a nice, sunshiny day. Here's a nice picture of the kids squinting in the sunshine.... The goal was to have 25,000 kids receive a swim lesson at the EXACT same time all over the world, I think it was somewhere around 16 countries that were participating. Last year's world record was only 4,000 kids, so they were breaking the record by quite a bit! Here is Braden jumping in the water and practicing his life jacket skills... Sienna swimming on her back..... And I guess she's feeling cold right here?? Don't know what this expression is about.... R.J..... Check out R.J.'s graceful form.... And here are all the kids who participated at our local aquatic center... P.S. This happened a month ago, I'm trying to catch up my blog, I'm getting closer!
