Conner's 1st real bath and not of the sponge variety, took place on the kitchen counter, where he stared at his reflection in the window most of the time. It went pleasantly enough, until the removal from said tub, then things went quickly unpleasant to traumatic in a matter of minutes.
Sienna loves being a big sister. She is constantly kissing Conner, singing to him, and always wants to hold him. She tells everyone, including strangers, about her new little brother, who she likes to call Connie.
My sister, Theresa and her daughter, Kensley, came and stayed with me for a week after Conner was born. Kensley was so enamored with the baby and he was smothered with kisses all week long.
Sienna had a little dance recital, but every time she saw us with the camera, she would stop dancing and strike a pose!
We have a tradition of letting our kids pick whatever they want for dinner on their birthday. Most kids would pick Chuck E. Cheese, or some other "kid" food, but not Braden. He insisted we eat at Red Lobster for his birthday!
For RJ's 1st Blue & Gold Dinner, the theme was "Chinese New Year." RJ & Dad made this cake and won the award for "The Holiest" Cake! --February 26, 2008
Braden loves bugs!! And after three weeks of nonstop rain, our backyard has a plethora of them. I have been finding tupperware containers all over my house filled with bugs, mostly slugs and worms, a few spiders, and the most impressive, a bumble bee! He cried over each death and has learned the hard way that bugs don't like containers with lids!
RJ's 1st Pinewood Derby and he won 2nd place! It was hard to tell who was the most excited, RJ or Dad!
