Little Old Man Face
Conner has started sucking on his bottom lip all the time now, and it's so cute. Ryan thinks he looks like a little old man when he does it.

Scootching
Conner is a scootcher. It's uncertain whether or not this qualifies as crawling, so we call it scootching. And Conner manages to get himself anywhere he wants to go with his technique.

Gardening 101
So, I decided to pull weeds today. And then I find this "weed" that looks like a cactus to me. I found this really funny, probably nobody else will, but I'm sure cactuses (or cacti?) do not grow in the wild of Sacramento, but seriously, there it is. The next thing that occurred was traumatic. I encountered this frog and jumped out of my skin. When my heart started beating again, I realized that, of course it was plastic, and had only been positioned at my doorstep by some small child of which I have an abundance.

A Couple Highlights from SoCal
Cute Cousins: Ava, Sienna, & Kensley Braden found scissors at Aunt Linda's house and thought it would be a good idea to cut out a big chunk of hair right on the front of his head. Grandma Shirley did her best to repair the damage.

Johnny Appleseed Day
Last Friday was Johnny Appleseed Day. Braden & Sienna's classes were celebrating by doing various apple-related activities, including making applesauce. We missed that day because we were in SoCal visiting family and the kids were very upset. So, thanks to Aunt Linda and Grandma Shirley, we celebrated ourselves and made some of our own delicious applesauce with a little pear thrown in just for fun. Happy birthday Johnny Appleseed!!

My Cookies
Braden gave me this note that says, "Mom look next to you and you will find cookies. I luv you mom." Then I looked next to me and found this bag of cookies that said, "Sandi Dee Pinney cookies." Sometimes he can be so sweet. I should mention that later that night he confiscated the cookies in anger because I "cleaned" his room with a trash bag after hours of asking nicely, begging, bribing, and threatening him to do it himself.
