Sunday was a beautiful day so we went for a walk! When I told everyone to get their shoes on, Sienna freaked out that she was out of socks, so I told her to borrow a pair of mine. Of course she chose dorky socks that didn't match! The heels sticking out at her ankles was my favorite. Background story #1: In April, Braden and I participated in the Roseville Creek Week Clean Up where we picked up garbage on the Woodcreek Wetlands. We got some cool matching t-shirts as a thank you and decided to be twins today. Background story #2: I hate this bush, it is the ugliest kind of bush that has ever existed. Some of you may have the same bushes if you were lucky to have builder-installed landscaping. Why does drought-resistant always have to mean ugly? So naturally, the ugly bush is a perfect backdrop for pictures, right? And Sienna cannot stand to have any pictures taken if it doesn't include her!

Our ward was split up, and I was one that got kicked out! I'm super sad, but I'm sure we will make new friends in our new ward and be just fine. Last week, we had our last pack meeting together in the 2nd ward and I was secretly, well actually it's not a secret, I was THRILLED not to be in the yellow shirt! Braden earned his Bobcat, woo hoo! And RJ earned his Forester pin and Architect pin.

On Thursday our school had an "Evening of the Arts". We owe a big, giant thank you to all the parents who volunteer their time as Art Docents so that our kids can have an art program, since the State of California will not provide one. Here are all the kids posing in front of their fantastic art work. RJ is not proud of this last piece of art he created, and was mad at me for taking a picture.

On April 23, our school had a character dress up day, where the kids came to school dressed up as their favorite character in a book. Sienna was Cinderella. Braden & RJ dressed up as Marines, from the book, The Life of Marines.

This girl has lost 4 teeth in the last month, and RJ has lost two. It is very difficult for the tooth fairy to keep up, and sometimes she forgets!!! There have been some tears and frustration, but eventually everyone gets their hard-earned cash! I think the kids are sensing a conspiracy though...

Right after my half-marathon craziness, I had a tea party to go to with Sienna at our school. I got home from the race 3 minutes before the party was starting, and managed only being 15 minutes late! It was fun to spend a little time with just Sienna, drink lemonade out of my grandma's teacups, and eat tiny sandwiches. Of course, all the desserts were already gone by the time we arrived, but dad made it better by bringing home a box of 30 candy bars from Costco!

Here we are, bright and early, waiting for our race to start. Our numbers... We're still happy! Still waiting for the race to start! Jen, Amy, & Me Me & Amy At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm going to die. I'm smiling because there is a camera pointed at me, but really I wanted to cry and then throw up. My first (and possibly LAST) half marathon. It was brutal!
