Elementary School Art Show

Our school had art work displayed at a local library, work created with help from our wonderful art docents. For FHE we went to check it out. Here is Sienna with her beautiful art work. Braden pointing to his self-portrait (or a clown, I'll have to ask him later).

And here is RJ in front of his classroom's art, feeling very bummed out because his is the only artwork from his class that is MISSING! Since we didn't get to see it, he described it in detail, and Dad determined from all the explosions and violence, it must have been CENSORED!

How Do You Wash Lipstick Out Of Fabric??

Conner likes to dig in my makeup drawer.
(see here: http://pinneyfamily-sanpinney.blogspot.com/2009/04/conners-1st-birthday.html) I turned my back and he ate a tube of lipstick. He was very happy with himself, laughing and clapping. And then he grabbed me and there is now a handprint on my white pants. Good thing he's cuter than my clothes...

Conner's 1st Easter

We let Conner go for the baskets first and it was so cute because he went straight for his!

The ball was his favorite toy.

The Easter Egg Hunt

Conner's 1st Easter Egg Hunt! Because Easter was in March last year, Conner went his entire first year without an easter celebration. He wasn't sure at first what was going on.... I had to show him what to do....

And then he slowly figured it out...
Conner was very excited to find treasures inside the egg, and ate them, wrappers and all!
Braden had to navigate around this gigantic scary turtle to find his eggs.

Coloring Easter Eggs with Grandma

While in Mesa we made sure to color eggs. A few days later we decided to have egg salad sandwiches for lunch and were met with lots of tears for those beloved eggs! As a result, we were only able to pry away a few and had to supplement lunch with tuna fish sandwiches and Mac & cheese. Braden was especially creative with his eggs. And, thanks to his tears, he still has all 6!

Random Mesa Highlights

Conner watching the kids swim, he especially liked all the rocks around the pool that he could eat. Here are the kids swimming in the hot tub, the pool was just a bit cold!

Conner really loved Kensley's horsey. It plays music too, so nice.
Sienna & Kensley rocking out at Aunt Lois' house.
Kensley's melt down when she discovered mommy was GONE! RJ was so sweet and immediately picked her up and tried to comfort her. But thank goodness mommy always comes back!

Playing at the Park in Mesa AZ

Me & the kids spent our spring break in Mesa, Arizona with family. On Tuesday we had a fun day at the park playing and having a picnic, but had to leave when it got too hot! Here's RJ taking a break. Braden's favorite part was getting soaked in the drinking fountain.

Sienna had fun playing with her cousing Kensley, but had to stop and pose for the camera.
Conner's favorite part was throwing bark all over grandma and eating the pretty flowers.

Conner's 1st Birthday

Conner turned one yesterday. Here are some highlights of the big day.... (I was going for a specific order and it went all wrong, and it's not worth it to try again!) Here's Conner enjoying a birthday cupcake.... again! It wouldn't be right not to have one on your actual birthday!! Here he is AFTER the cupcake and the necessary bath that comes after a cupcake. He has discovered how drawers open, and my makeup drawer is a favorite. He can't even see what's in there, but he knows if he fishes around long enough, the reward will be worth it! And of course, you have to have a naked bum shot to show future girlfriends.

Here he is all ready for bed, it was a great birthday!
Earlier in the day I bought a new portable crib ($45!!!!) and he thought it was lots of fun... until I walked away, and then not so much.
And of course, the obligatory birthday song. I have no business singing, but we can't have a birthday with a song, so there you have it. This time the video worked, but I ran out of memory before all the cuteness began, oh well. At least we blew out the candle before he could grab it!

My Baby Days Are Over

Today is the last day I will have a baby forever. Tomorrow Conner is a toddler. I hope he lets me love and cuddle him just a little longer. Here's a couple of highlights from our last "baby day." Loving the new carseat direction - much better views!

A little video of Conner walking around the kitchen with A LOT of background noise, courtesy of Braden.

It's Going To Be a Good Day

I put on a pair of shorts this morning that I haven't worn since I don't know when, probably before I was pregnant with Conner. Not only did they fit perfectly, but I found five bucks in the pocket!! Cherishing the happy moments!
