Braden's Birthday

Braden's birthday was March 20. Naturally, we started the day with birthday donuts! We enjoyed a birthday lunch at Denny's with Grandpa, and lame mom forgot the camera. Braden chose Round Table for his birthday dinner. Here he is with dad... And here he is with Sienna, me and RJ... Conner was there too! And we can't forget the fabulous beard and mustache stickers from the candy machines! After dinner, Braden got to pick out ice cream at the store and we had delicious hot fudge sundaes. With brownies, of course. And just so you know, Ryan is the BEST when it comes to building hot fudge sundaes. :o) This is only the beginning of all the celebration hoopla for Braden's 8th birthday! There is LOTS more to come!

No More Baby!

This is Conner enjoying his very last serving of whole milk, because he's almost 2! I know it is a silly thing to document, but it is just one more sad reminder that a toddler has taken over my baby!

St. Patrick's Day Hoopla

I Love St. Patrick's Day, so much fun! Here is how our day went: Green eggs for breakfast, which, by the way, is NOT a tradition we will continue. It's creepy. Sienna is the only one who wore green, the boys refused. They liked the idea of being chased all day by girls who would want to pinch them! Here are some chocolate gold coins the kids found in their lunch bags: And for dinner, corned beef and cabbage. This is the 1st year I've ever made this, I've always been a little concerned about it. Turns out it is actually good! It was a big hit with everyone, except for maybe the cabbage part... And of course, we all love cupcakes!

Pinewood Derby

RJ earned his 1st three awards in Webelos: craftsman, communicator and one other vital thing I can't remember right now. This was Braden's 1st pack mtg, and first time to demonstrate his cubscoutiveness, so proud! Here is Braden being welcomed into the Wolf den, and I got a snazzy ribbon thing to hold all the wonderful parent pins that are in my future. This is RJ's car, I think he won the award for most creative or decorative, something like that. RJ really likes his car. Dad says he made 5th place, he made sure to ask. This is Braden's tank. And just so you know, tanks aren't built for speed! This thing is definitely built like a tank though. Braden has been throwing it all over, including across the parking lot, and there are no dents or scratches that I can see!

Bright, Sunshine-y Day

Right Now: Sunny 72° F High will be 75° F
We're ready for shorts!

Our Backyard Blueprints

Ryan thought it would be a fun family activity to have everyone draw a picture of what we each wanted our backyard to look like. Here is Sienna's depiction: I don't know about you, but I happen to think it would be a FANTASTIC idea to have a swimming pool with a giant bridge going over it.

Pyper Rosemary

This last weekend I was able to go to Arizona for the blessing of my newest niece, Pyper. I also got to spend some time with 3 of my sisters, which I always love. Unfortunately, Lois is missing from the pictures. :o( Here is Bobbi and me with Pyper... Bobbi, Theresa, and me... Stephen and Theresa...

Bingo Night

On Friday our school hosted a mother-son bingo night. We ate pizza, candy, and more brownies than any human should ever consume! It was great fun.

Trying to get these goofballs to smile normally is pointless.
RJ won a prize, cotton candy and the coveted wax lips! Thanks again Amy, for the great pics!
